When I need cheap needles, I buy susan bates quicksilver in aluminum.  i soak the cable in hot water to soften it up.  If you have a joann's coupon, they only cost a few dollars Cheesy

Yeah, the Bates Quicksilver ones are not too bad, but be sure they are the Quicksilver and not the regular Bates ones.
