I am on a quest to use up a bunch of scrap wood and thought that I would make a few bats to put on my party tables for the halloween party.  Not much to them really, a few cuts with the saw, slapped some black paint on then sanded and stained, a dowel and a chunk of wood for the base and this is what I came up with.



I am now done with the making of Halloween decorations for this year.  Happy haunting everyone!

As a friend of bats, I thank you for not making yours with fangs, red eyes or any of the other typical, and wholly inaccurate, "scary bat" details.

My friends jokingly call me 'Martha Stewart on Acid' and I love bats, we have several bat houses on the garage, those awesome little creatures keep me skeeter free all summer long!
