my friend and i a big Harry Potter fans, so we decided to go as Hogwarts student zombies. we even got her boyfriend to join us. technically she was Pansy Parkinson, he was Draco Malfoy, and i was Cedric Diggory...

all of us. the lighting makes our make-up look terrible, it was a lot better in real life...

my friend and me and her heart...because the books are all about love, you know...

me as Cedric...yes i am a girl, but playing as a boy is so much fun!

the happy couple...

our costumes are all assembled from clothing we had or bought, except for the house badges, which i hand painted, this is my hufflepuff one:

Personal swap maybe yes please? PM me! i like making new friends. Smiley

Alright, well I took my sweet time getting some pictures together..but here goes
I made...pretty much everything from scratch, with only a few things being altered (gloves were painted, top and skirt I already owned)

My boyfriend and myself are warcraft nerds...so we went as a Warlock and his succubus. he's wearing partial T5 gear and my costume is a little more inspired rather than game accurate..but i did it all in 2 weeks on a very tight budget, so there you have it

there are no pics of us together other than crappy ones in the dark club we wore it to, sorry Sad

my man:

and me:

here is a close up on my shoes...which i also made (i am very proud ^___^ )

then for handing out candy i wore the pg13 bits of my costume along with some fun makeup:

ooh scary

thanks for looking!

Doctor Girlfriend/Jackie Kennedy costume, made out of T-shirts and handsewn because I didn't have my sewing machine with me. The hat was just made out of cardboard and tape and covered with fabric, I think it was my favorite part. No one recognized me but everyone thought it looked nice. From a distance. In the dark, hah hah...

That is an excellent Doctor Girlfriend.

I make Elegant Gothic Lolita goods on commission, and sometimes I just make things for the online store!

My daughter is a complete Pixar freak, so we decided to dress as Woody, Jessie, and Stinky Pete the Prospector from Toy Story 2.

I made most of the Woody and Jessie costumes--even their hats.  They wore purchased jeans.  The Prospector stuff is all purchased thrift store garments except the bandana.

No, I am NOT Santa!

Better detail of Jessie's outfit (the shirt has handstitched detail in red):

having a minimum of time and a maximum of creativity (and being a crazy art student), i make costumes that usually involve a combination of two things:
1. flowers
2. on my head.
this year, i went as frida kahlo:

last year, as a garden party:

yeah. i like things that have flowers and lights. always a good combination.

My friend and I decided to be space chicks after I came across the inspiration for my costume on this site... https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=61074.0  we thought it was a great idea, and cheap to boot lol!!!  sooo we did all this work and it turned out I was the only one who wore it LOL... but we're going to do it again next year.  I used a pleather top I had laying around, a $2.00 leather skirt I got at the thrift store, some boots i had in my closet, 2 pairs pink panty hose from the costume store (one cut up for arm warmers), a pink wig, and pink antennas I made in order to complete the costume.  As you can see I covered the clothing and boots in the chrome duct tape... it was sooooo hot, I couldn't bend and it was a little hard to breathe but I looked good so what does it matter right Wink here's some pics, hopefully I can figure out how this works... here goes nothing!

this is me putting on my pink makeup before i got dressed, the camera kind of washes it out but i was very pink Smiley

this is a long shot minus the antennas

another long one

here you can see the antennas

moreee makeup

space "tattoos" aka stickers lol

I got soooooo many compliments Smiley I loved it, it was fun and not expensive

you can almost see my "ray gun" aka 75 cent water gun lol

OH and I also made my boyfriend a space guy costume, but he didnt end up wearing it so I didnt get photos... basically he had a dark green army jumpsuit which I put random strips of lime green duct tape on, a paintball mask covered in chrome duct tape with antennas, and a "jet pack" which was really his belt thing that holds the canisters of paintballs

this is the only pic i got, it was from the night i finished making it

you look awesome! you did a great job on making it.

how long did it take you to make the whole thing?

don't explain. your friends don't need it. your enemies won't believe you.

hi...i know this is a tad later than halloween but i wanted to put the one measly photo that i have right now on my beloved craftster.org...

i went as miss argentina from beetlejuice. i reconned this gnarly red suede dress and made my little sash out of my boyfriend's holy hanes undershirts and some interfacing. i used fabric paint and a stencil to do the letters. i made her neck/collar thing out of some red pantyhose and an evil wire coat hanger that honestly took about 30 minutes to bend into the shape i needed it to be. my makeup is from a costume shop in south boston and is a much lighter blue in natural light. yeah, the makeup was the most fun...people seem to be nicer when you are blue....more photos of the full costume to come
