I went with a peacock costume this year, and it's probably my favorite costume ever...

This year my son wanted to be a monster. Looked and looked and couldn't find one to buy (not 1!!!) So we got the sketch book out and this is what we came up with. I knit the hat, sewed the jumpsuit and bought, dismanteled, and reconstructed a skeleton into wings. He was very happy although no one really knew what he was and kept asking if he was a bee. Undecided

Everyone's costumes look so great!!

I decided randomly that I wanted to be a Bee for halloween, and I couldn't possibly buy it. Here is what I came up with:

You can't quite see the stripes on my tummy, but I had another black between the fuzzy yellows.  I loved my costume!

I went as Red Sonya this year.  My boyfriend and I made the costume from old sweat pants and paillettes!  He was Thulsa Doom, Red Sonya's villain.

And without the wig, since I am "Red" anyway:

My daughter wanter to be a mental patient with a straight jacket. Think I am gonna bring this sucker out when she gets too teenagery. I made an iron-on transfer that said "Saint Wahozit's school for the criminally insane"

All tied up... trick or treating was funny to watch

Made hospital pajamas too

And my son wanter to be a jester. The hat was pure torture.

I'm late posting this, but I had a couple days after Halloween where I just didn't go online.  Here's my little Wolf Man:

The shirt, pants, and hood were from patterns found in Ottobre design and Burda World of Fashion pattern magazines I had on hand, and the gloves and leg fur-thingies were improvised.  Grin  He carried a little stuffed Wolf Man around, but somehow we didn't get a picture of him with it.

Since he was born in October, it's technically his second Halloween, but it's the first one where he actually dressed up and left the house.

*sidles in*  I hope it's not too late to post... I just now got my photos uploaded from this year...
My daughter's favourite games at the beginning of October were Starfox Adventures and Super Smash Bros., so when I asked her what costume she wanted me to make for her, she asked for Fox McCloud.
Obviously, being that she is three, I simplified it a LOT, so I could modify it for colder or warmer weather, and so if she decided she didn't want to wear it, I wouldn't be completely heartbroken.

...Turns out I was right... There was a fox tail, a very nice one, but, alas. We went to my mom's house for Halloween, and her many cats thought the furry tail hanging from her pants was a nice toy. XD
I used a pair of sweatpants, sewing the green fabric over them, hence, extra warmness. The turtleneck and boots, I did not make... The vest has the team Starfox emblem, but you can't really see it...

I went as Belle from Beauty and the Beast... Sadly, everyone guessed Dorothy or Alice. X_X  I reconstructed the dress from a hideous halter into... Well, into this. I made the apron veeery last minute the night before Halloween, out of an old t-shirt. This is a very bad picture... But, I took it myself, so what can you expect. ^_^;

I'm posting the trick-or-treat bag that I made in a different thread, just in case. ^_^ Sorry for the paragraphs and big pics!
