When my husband left for Iraq I moved back into my parents home where I am staying in my brothers old room... so with most of his stuff still in there and all of mine it was pretty bad anyway a month or so later and I'm completely settled in and it's MY ROOM NOW!!! Oh yeah, after living in military housing for so long it feels REALLY RELALY GOOD TO BE ABLE TO PAINT MY WALLS ANY COLOR I PLEASE!!!! : )

Before {excuse the mess : )} :

After (excuse the mess.. err again ; ) )

Ooh!  Love the rainbows - they're from prisms, I presume?  They're in the perfect spots.  Really like the black dresser, too, are the handles purple?  it's hard to tell if they're purple or if the color is just reflecting off the walls.  I like the purple walls, too!

Hope your hubby comes home safe and soon!

whoa, it's like a totally different room! purple was a nice choice. i like the bed and the matching black wire-y candle holders and swirls. the purple handles on the dresser are a nice touch, and even you desktop wallpapaer looks good in there Smiley

OMG you've got a Day Bed - I am so jealous - and this is the nicest one I've ever seen.

You did a fab job in changing the colour from blue (my worst colour ever) to purple (my fav colour ever) so I'm very pleased on that alone  Grin.  And the room looks great - well done.

My best friends brother is in Iraq at the moment so know the worry you must be going through.  I hope he comes home safe and sound - and soon.

When I make a mess something good always comes from it.

That purple is lush! I am moving back into my house in December (currently interstate for work) and am planning to redecorate my daughter's room. Would it be rude to ask what brand/colour of paint you used? Smiley

I love the color purple you used! The dresser looks awesome. My Dad was in the military so it was nice when we finally got a house that we could paint or decorate at all, so I hear ya there.

I hope your hubby comes home safe and sound and soon!
