My dad designed and built the machines he used to bevel high lead crystal for his amazing pieces. He just gave me this 4' x 2' piece (and a similar one to my sister), it's in a walnut frame that I helped to design.

It fills the whole room with rainbows, is it ever amazing.

Edited to add:

Dad passed away May 3, '17.
He came to live with us last year and moved into hospice a couple months later when he needed more care. He exceeded everyone's expectations and was active and creative for the entire year he lived there. He drew most days and planned many beveling projects, I have loads of his drawings collected for a future project in his memory.

This second window came to me, it hangs in our bedroom and throws light every sunny day.

The fruit is hand cut, rounded, and polished jade. There are 33 pieces of fruit and 88 leaves, lucky numbers in the same tradition that values jade as a stone of fortuitousness. It's difficult to photograph in full sunlight, it's very bright. I have many photos of his other windows as well. What an artist he was, what an incredible talent.
