A leaf pile is an awesome costume!  How did you guys do it?
I saw the idea in a parenting magazine on a little baby in a stroller.  I got her a little red sweatsuit and then bought a LOT of those cheap bunches of fake autumn leaves from WalMart.  I tore off the leaves from the stems.  (Cheap leaves are better because they come apart easily).  I hot glued them all over the sweat shirt and the sweatpants.  For my husband, I only did a sweatshirt and he wore brown pants.  They had matching leafy baseball caps too.  She loved going out matching her dad.  I had to make him identical costumes for the kids for a few years, but now they want to do their own thing.

This sort of costume is great for a cold climate.  We are usually shivering on Halloween and it's a bummer to have to cover up a cute costume with a heavy coat.

Wow - everyone's stuff is looking great so far!! The candy corn idea is totally cute, Sezouli. I'm going to have to make one with teeth like a jackolantern -- seems fitting. Wink

And black cats galore! I think we have the unofficial theme for this round of the swap. Cheesy  I love it!!

IamSusie: The little ghost and kitty are great -- I love the contrast stitching. And the added leaf costume is adorable. Smiley

smushisweetbaboo: Fantastic work on the witch costume. Your stuffie looks great. Actually, I have never seen button eyes work so well. Cheesy I love it
