I saw a picture of someone wearing a wolf mask and, as is often the case, I was like "I can make that!" so I did.
Here it is:

I started with pink cardstock paper and people kept telling me it looked like a pig. But then i paper mache'd it:

and it got to looking like a wolf....who eats pigs.
My kid brother and sister modeled it for me in the woods.

It was great fun. thanks for looking!

Wow, that looks great, you really nailed the shape of the wolfs face and the way you painted it really brings it to life.  How long did it take you to make it?

it only took me two days... i hate waiting for the paper mache to dry!
Used a cup of water and a cup of flour and strips of news paper! Works great!

Dang. This ROCKS. Yes.

How did you get it to fit the shape of someone's head? And the painting is incredible. What kind of paint did you use?

I just recently did a small paper mache project myself and found I liked it better with 2x the water to 1x the flour. I also added salt to retard any possible molding.

But why, oh why, does it take so long to dry?

I suffer from that same little voice any time I go to anyplace where there is something unique "I can make that"

The mask is great by the way.

if ou don't want to wait as long for soemthing to dry,  you can always stick it int he oven on a low tempt and watch it carefully.  i've already had a few projects get singed because of not wathcing it  XD
