Alright, so this isn't a knitting project, but my grandma emailed this to me, and it cracked me up.  Cheesy

A highway patrolman pulled alongside
a speeding car on the freeway.
Glancing at the car, he was astounded to see that the blonde behind the wheel was knitting!

Realizing that she was
oblivious to his flashing lights and siren, the trooper cranked down his window, turned on his bullhorn and yelled, "PULL OVER!"

"NO!" the blonde yelled back, "IT'S A SCARF!"

OOH! I wanna hear a bad one!

This one by the way, made me giggle.
...largely because I do totally knit and drive. But only when I'm at a stoplight! I live in a big city with horrible traffic and there's some very long stoplights here. I don't have the patience to just sit there.

"Practice safe knitting:  Look before you sit!"

"WARNING: The constant rubbing of two sticks together may produce fire. If this occurs, you need more yarn!"

I couldn't resist adding this joke (and yes Virginia, I know its crochet):

For years her husband had been discouraged from touching or opening the shoe box she kept on the top shelf of their closet. Before dying she asked him to bring the box to her. Inside was $25,000 in cash and one crocheted doily.

When asked about the doily she explained that her mother had given her advice when they first married. The wife was encouraged to crochet a doily when she got mad rather that blowing up. Her husband smiled with delight. What a joy that she had only gotten upset once.

He know understood the doily but what about the cash? Her answer was:  "That's the money I made selling doilies."
