So after several false starts and bad ideas on my part, I finally finished my modified Coachella. First, I modified it into a halter just because that's my preference. However, the modification made the back part roll like crazy, so I did a crab stitch crochet all around the back "circle" to reinforce the fabric and stop the rolling. Worked perfectly. Second, I changed the bottom because it was just too tight around my hips. I did seed stitch and put a little split in the sides to make it fall in a more flattering way (and less of a make-me-look-like-a-sausage kind of way).

I didn't feel justified doing a separate post for my clapotis, since everyone in the universe has done one and I don't have much to add, but I just love my bamboo one!

Beautiful job on both! One day, I hope I can modify things and do as great a job as you did!

I just saw your choachella on ravelry and was wondering if you'd posted it here!  it looks beautiful, I love your mods.

and your clapotis is deserving of its own post-- it's one of the most beautiful I've seen.

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

I love both and your pic of your Clapotis is a beautiful photograph, too.  I've made both of these projects, too.  I'm really impressed you could modify Coachella.  Even after making it I don't fully understand what's going on.

Your modified Coachella is gorgeous and so flattering! And I agree with mwedzi - both the Clapotis and its photo are beautiful. Well done!

Both are really beautiful, and the colours are stunning.  What yarn and colour did you use for the Coachella, if you don't mind me asking?
