what do you think?  Grin

I dont really know how to do a tutorial, but here's the pattern I used.  It looks narrower on the bottom, but it isnt cut narrower, I think its just looks that way after its sewn.  I cut the straps 2 1/2" wide.  Its a jordy bag, just the top is cut different. I also used a fairy stiff interfacing, the iron on kind. Of course, cut out the corners on the bottom of the bag, I forgot to mark that on the pattern, and as you can guess, i havent completely figured out this posting stuff.  Smiley  The straps must match up with the little tabs on top.  Hope this helps, let me know.  thanks

thanks for the comments.  I got the fabric at Hancock's fabric.  it says "from the hip" The Alexander henry fabrics collection.  I used the Jordy pattern, but cut the top, sort of like a tank top shape.

That's a wonderful bag. I love the colors and the print. The shape is great, too.

Do you think you could do a mini-tutorial on how you did the top of the bag? I'd love to make one similar to this. Excellent work!

Absolutely gorgeous!  The shape is graceful.  The fabric suits the shape perfectly.  I love wild-lookin' bags!  This bag merits five out of a possible five cowgirl yodels!

Can't get your "Tanktop Jordy" out of my mind!  I've got to make one!

The bottom of the bag looks like it's a couple inches narrower than the top of the bag.  Is that so?  Such beautiful lines!
