here are some recent little critters i have made.
i have a japanese book which has a pattern similar to this, but i did not feel like tracing the pattern, so i just cut as i went and it all fit together!  his name is mr. cuppy and he is sure to be your "cup of tea."  i made him for my grandma for xmas.
i made the alien up as i went.  and the hippo was made from a pattern, from vintage fabric.
http://home.att.net/~heroine/medoll.jpg<--this is supposed to be me.

and finally, this string of kitties (with beads between them) are for my mom for xmas.

i'll look for the hippo pattern, he was from a book printed in the 80s i think.  he was my first machine-sewn doll, so i found him a bit difficult (namely the tummy gusset where it meets the feet).  but i am sure if i had a bit more experience with my machine he would not have been so bad.

I love "you"
i think she looks quite like me actually.  except when i made her, i did the bangs going the wrong way, mine go to the right!  so she is correct if she was a mirror-image!

thanks for the compliments!

the japanese book is this one:

In the second picture (of all the little creatures you can make), you can see mr. cuppy's relatives.

the hippo is from "woman's day book of soft toys and dolls."  IM me if you want more info on this pattern.
