This is the first purse I have made just winging it. I just made it up as I went (which was scary!  Shocked). I was trying to use up some scraps from my stash. It was also the first time I have ever tried reverse applique - which was much simpler than I thought it would be. Smiley I didn't have any fusible interfacing so I used some really puffy quilted stuff (no idea what it is) so the bag turned out very sturdy and cozy!  So, I guess the whole thing was a happy experiment that turned out nicely! I plan on giving it to my mom-in-law for Christmas!

Sorry, I haven't washed or de-fuzzed it yet, so you can see some of my marks (especially around the applique), but I was excited and wanted to post!!

The outside:

and the inside pocket which I think turned out cute:

Oh, it is so cute! I love the reverse applique. I can't believe you made this up as you went!

That's too cute!  I love the color and the fabric choose.  Makes it look like something from the late 70's.

Good job.
