I want to make some jewelry from agates and I know that you used to be able to find them in the gravel roads around Vancouver, spcifically New West.  Any suggestions on where I could find some?

I am not sure where you can find them (I have found lots on the beaches along the oregon coast).  You can find really cheap agates at Capilano Rock and Gem in North Vancouver and they have some books on rock houndingas well.  I think if you want to go find them your self, your best bet would be to go to the library and look at books for rock hounding in the greater Vancouver area.  I have taken a few out myself from the main downtown branch in Vancouver.
  Good Luck!
