I made this for my other sister who loves books.  She is a Stephen King nut, and loves to play scrabble.  Her favorite place is in the garden or on a porch, so I found pictures to put on the walls of beautiful porch settings.  There is a scrabble game on the floor, and see that basket on the table?  Well, she just recently got her massage therapy certificut, so in the basket is a miniature bottle of rubbing alcohol, a hot water bottle and a Hershey bar...Oh, and the name of the book I used for this scene is called "Black and Blue"...just a small piece of humor there...

Thank you all for the kind words...Each scene took me about 3 months of 'a little bit here, and a little bit there'... when my daughter moved out, I turned her room into my craft room.  I just like crafts....I make everything from wedding veils, ring pillows, flower girl baskets and card box's, to painting stuff, gluing stuff and creating stuff that makes me happy.  I'll be posting more of my items soon (now that I know how!)

Ok..here's how I made some of the items in this room.  I took a book, and glued the pages together, leaving the center part alone.  I then cut the center part out, and then made a cardboard insert just to 'square it up'...I used a cerial box for the card stock.  I used berlap material and glued it to the walls.  For the pictures on the walls, I searched magazines for pretty pictures, cut them out, glued a frame around it, and glued the entire thing onto yet another cerial box, and then cut it all out.  The pillows were easy.  I cut out a square, larger than shown, then sewed around three sides, trimed the material close to the stitching, turned right side out, stuffed a cotton ball in there, hand stitched it shut, then put one stitch in the center of the pillow.  This is where I glued on a tiny button.  The rug on the floor was hand painted, and the floor itself is just craft sticks glued together, then painted to look like an old floor.  The other stuff in the room is just little wooden beads and boards glued together, and I went to ebay for the mini Stephen King books, hot water bottle, rubbing alcohol, chocolate bar and scrabble game.  It took me about 3 months of a little bit here, a little bit there.  I love to craft.
