and you have to?

I want to knit dd a pair of booties/shoes right now, not a boring hat for DH. He asked me to. Knitting is so flippin slow. (Or I'm slow at it!)

Maybe you could bribe yourself by buying a really yummy yarn to knit with? 

I love the SWS patton colors and feel.  There are some manly colors and it's a joy to knit.

I am a yarn addidct so when I don't feel like knitting I:

1.  Unravel a thrift store sweater & recycle the yarn

2.  Dye some wool in some colors I want for a project

3.  Re -Organize my stash

4.  Inventory my stash (I have about 1000+ skeins)

I wish I had 100 skeins!

And I'm making him a hat because we're too poor to buy him a nice hat.... and I can make him a nice one. I just was going through a pissy mood last night - I knit today and love it - go figure!

I find, if I usually take a break and do something else for a while, come back to it, begin the first stitch ... the knitting bug kind of takes hold again.

1,000 plus skeins ... wow! I have 10 lying around and I thought this was a lot, lol.
