So much crafting, so little time...

I actually finished these a few weeks ago, but I didn't take pics til today.
I won the yarn for these in the knitting challenge a few months back.  It's handspun superwash wool from Star217, who has an http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=103341 etsy.  They're knit on size 2 (3.00mm) circular needles, using two circs at once.  I used the Universal Toe-up Formula from http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer06/PATTuniversalsock.html Knitty.  The lace motif is Little Parachute Lace from Barbara Walker's Third Treasury.

These were really fun to knit, and though they're a little snug they're quite comfy and the first pair of socks I've knitted that I'll definitely wear in public.
Since Sir Rumpert won the knitting challenge for me, I thought it would be nice to knit him a pair of matching socks too.  More about Sir Rumpert is here https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177450.msg1836851#msg1836851  There was no pattern for Sir Rumpert's Socks- I just made them up as I went.
