(To The Tune of "The Llama Song")Here's a needle, there's a needle, and some yarn between the needles, cast on, knit, purl, always knitting, knitty, knitty, purl.

i am really late to this party but this is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and i will start this the moment i finish the other sweater i'm working on (Vogue Knitting Russian Coat).

I have a tattoo on my back which pretty much looks exactly like the wings on the sweater (even the size), so it was meant to be.

THANK YOU THANK YOU for sharing your pattern, I can't wait to get started!!!

dear mom, please send yarn.  and coffee.

I'm definitely going to be giving this a try once I finish a few other projects!  I've always liked the idea of shirts with wings on the back, but I never got one because they all just seemed a tad cheesy.  With the wings knitted in cables, this is just gorgeous, and takes away the cheeseball factor.  I want to get a little more experience under my belt (I only just stopped knitting plain scarves), but I think this may be the first sweater I knit...hopefully I'm not being completely overambitious.

oh wow!!!   Shocked  Ab-so-lute-ly stunning.   I have a friend with some wings tattooed on her who would absolutely LOVE this.  I agree that the cables make the wings idea less "cheesy" and just incredibly elegant.  I had a bad experience with the one sweater I tried, but this may be just enough to get me over my sweater fear!!
