Last spring I found several sheets of scrapbook paper on the clearance shelf at Joanns.  I purchased a pond scene with a grid on the back.  I would love to find one more sheet of that paper but I haven't been successful as yet.

Any tips on tracking down the company?  I have a small scrap - but I don't know how to search effectively.  Thanks

What I would do is go back to JoAnns and see what companies they carry. That might help narrow it down.

Does the scrap have ANY info on it at all?

Yes, it did - but I lost it or used it.  But that's a good suggestion, I'll start in the store and see if the company can be traced.

I work at a JoAnn's so I can tell you which brands my paticular store has stocked for the past five years... that could possibly help. I've worked at this JoAnn's for five years and in that time we've rarely had any other brands at all. I'm betting its a very high chance of being either a Colorbok paper or a Hot Off The Press.

- Colorbok
- The Paper Company
- Hot Off The Press (also know as Paper Adventures, and Paper Pizazz)
- Diecuts With a View (aka DCWV)

If you could scan the paper, I could check my stash and see if I had any left. Although I just cleared out my paper but I might still have it.

Good luck in your search!

I found a scrap with the name and number listed:
2217
Lilly Pads
Colorbok

I called the colorbok company and they told me this paper has been discontinued for a long time.  She told me that sometimes they keep a few sheet - but they don't have any left.

If you have a scrap that would be great, if not maybe you can recommend a company that would have paper with lilly pads.

Thanks you, and thanks plus thanks again.

Parisgirl-

I'm so glad you found the company! I checked my stash (which is enormous... even after all the cleaning out I did) and I don't have any scraps of that paticular pattern. Sad

I'm not sure what other companies might have lilypad paper. Maybe Hot off The Press or Die Cuts With A View. Those would be the two companies I'd start with.

You could also try posting at scrapbook.com. The gals over there are really helpful and generous, maybe they'd have a scrap of the lilypad paper or know other companies that have lilypad designs.

Good luck with your search. I'm sorry I couldn't help more!

If you have a colour copier you could copy it to use as a background. I've done that while scrapbooking late at night when I realize I really could use an extra piece of whatever I was using.

Even if you just have a small scrap, you could copy it multiple times.  I'd also check google images for lily pad images you might be able to print out to use as a background.

I would absolutely check e-bay!  Usually if I need something whether scrapbook related or not, and I can't find it, someone on ebay has it.  I might not always want to pay what they want, but I find it!  LOL

Thanks Crafty-crafsters.  I don't have but an inch or two left, so I can't really copy the part that I like.  But I did try to use some calendar photos that had Lily pads.  Oh - I wanted that to work so badly.  I tried several attempts but couldn't be satisfied.   Arrggh.

I think Ebay will be worth a shot.  Although I can NEVER find what I really want because of all the hits that arise from a search!

But I'm not at the end of my rope yet.
