I've been away from Craftster and away from crocheting for a couple of months because life just got too busy.  Well I was in the bookstore the other day, and realized that I just had to buy SnBHH.  So, I'm a third of the way through my first Fat Bottom Bag, and I have a question.

I went to the store to get handles.  I decided that I do not like the round handles, but I didn't want a shoulder strap, either.  So, I bought a pair of U-shaped handles, kind of like this:  http://www.createforless.com/products/productDetail.asp?ProductID=79011&SI=61501ee7-1bc8-4d03-b3b9-f0a0328ce286

Has anyone tried these with a FBB?  How do you attach them?  I did a search, but couldn't find anything.  Any advice would be wonderful!   Smiley

I have a lot of Lion Brand Homespun that I'd love to trade for something else!

I have only tried this once so if you have any problems just let me know or play around with it tll it works!

Fat Bottom Bag Handle Variation:

Work rows 1 and 2, on main pattern, as directed, or until it looks right to you!

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in 1st st, sc 2 together in next 2 sts. Sl st across to last 3 sts; sc 2 together over next 2 sts, sc in last st, turn-24 sts.

Rows 4-5: Ch 2, hhdc in next 2 st, turn leaving rest of sts un-worked. Ch2, hhdc in next 3 sts, continue for next 4 rows ( this doesnt count in the main row count)

Row 6: Turn, ch 1 sc in both sts. Fasten off leaving a sewing thread.

Go to other end of row and join yarn with sl st. Ch 2 and continue as in Row 3-7 as above.

This makes 2 tabs to  go thru slots on purchased handles.

Insert tabs thur slot on handle and sew using the yarn tail. Make sure it is very well sewn for strength!

May have to repeat row 2 till it looks like it will fit slot on handles.

Hope this works for you! Mine looks great.
