After lurking around here in the shoe area, I was bit by the bug and decided that I wanted to decorate me some shoes.  I picked these up for 20 bucks at the BX on base near my house.  I was looking to spend less but I ended up getting these ones because they're extremely comfortable.  Anyway, enough of my babble, here's what you're been waiting for.. the pictures!

Action shots!

I was going to do these with a black sharpie marker, but when I first started to, it bled too much, so I ended up doing it with a regular ink pen.. I'm kind of worried about wearing them when it's going to be wet outside, I was wondering if there was something that I could put over it to protect the ink.. some kind of sealer or something.. anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for looking!  Now I want to buy more shoes to draw on. :p

I love your shoes! I would so buy them if I saw them in the store... Sorry I can't help with the waterproofing though.

gorgeous shoes!

my local shoe store (& payless has them for about 5 bucks!) has a spray that makes shoes waterproof...i'm not sure if it would set the ink but you could give it a try by maybe drawing on some canvas, spraying it, and putting it to the test to avoid ruining your shoes

you should either use water proofing spray or we use spray fixative in drawing classes.  or better yet, go to the hardware store and buy a spray can of clear coat...done, perfect.
