Everything is beautiful! I made earrings, a brooch and a bracelet for my 2 aunts and grandmother.. funny thing was that they were in awe but didn't realize it was handmade...by me. When I brought it to their attention they wouldn't stop talking about how beautiful everything is! I was so flattered.. I hope you all were too when you gave your gifts and saw everyone's delight.. everyone made beautiful things!

So I used the "_____ in a box" gift idea with my "Basketball Star in a Box Kit". I gave it to my best friend for Christmas and she loved it! Here's what I put in the box:

+  a note
+  a mini handmade book with inspirational stuff in it
+  homemade basketball-shaped cookies and a star-shaped cookie (because she's a "star"  Wink)
+  a sugar cookie I made with a gingerbread man cookie cutter -- I "painted" on her basketball uniform with icing, added blue twinkly sprinkles for her blue eyes, etc.  Cheesy
+  a basketball tin (for the cookies)
+  her favorite Gatorade, Strawberry Kiwi
+  a towel
+  a water bottle
+  scrunchies
+  deodorant
+  snacks
+  chocolate basketballs.... yummy
+  a notepad
+  some Orbit gum

As you can imagine, the box was pretty full....... it took some effort to get it closed!  Shocked Smiley
She really liked it though, so I'm happy.

Sorry, I don't have a camera, so no pictures  Sad Maybe that problem will be solved next Christmas!  Wink

I haven't posted in like a 150 years but i was so proud i couldn't stop myself.... I haven't had the energy for a christmas full of homemade gifts in a while, so this year was a great treat for me! Here are my most successful gifts this year.

glasses for my friend who just built a bar
fleece blanket for my hunting friend
close-up of the deer
blank book for my ultra poetic neice with a protective silk book sleeve to match, the lining is red
