I've been sewing up a storm. I mean what else am I going to do right? I just learned how to sew last summer and have been wondering what in the heck I did for the 24 years before that. Must have been a pretty boring life without all these ruffles, twirls and cuteness. On with the pics. Hope you like!

First is a ring around the rosie halter dress. I got 4 yds of this fabric at gar sale for a quarter...YEAH!!

Next is my most fav of all. My mom bought this curtain at G-will that would have went perfect in her living room. Well when I saw it all these twirly images started going through my head and that was that.

And I posted this before but wasn't a great pic. This was 2 pairs of pillowcases which I got all together for a quarter at gar sale.

This fabric was 8.99 a yd at joanns and I had 40% off coupon. That is the most I've ever spent on fabric. Thank goodness it only took a yd and a half.

Heres one same pattern but fabric was 4 yds for 1.99 at G-will and I made it a dress instead of top.

Ok heres my first skirt I made using this tute: http://houseonhillroad.typepad.com/photos/twirly_skirt/twirly_skirt_024_1_1.html
So easy. I made a matching belt to go with it. I planned on appliqueing the shirt but figured she could wear it with something else too. I got the tank and 4 others in pink, blue, orange, and red at walmart for 2.00 each.

And heres a matching jacket I made using this vintage pattern:

Okay and she is done taking pics. I had to bribe her with ice cream sandwiches to get these pics. And all the dresses are pretty twirly but she had about 2 feet to twirl around on top of my computer desk. Hope you all are having as much fun sewing ruffles and twirls as I am! God Bless!

I am in the throes of jealousy!  I love them all and I want them all.  But I don't think my 4 sons would appreciate it if I dressed them in them!  I just love the little bloomers!

I love my hubby, but the Army doesn't pay enough for my crafty habit!

These were all made using New Look patterns. They were pretty cheap at Walmart. Like 3.00 or cheaper. I have over 300 kids patterns and only use a few of them I guess because they are my favorites and I hate cutting the patterns out. So here they are:

Ring around the Rosie Dress: NL 6613 View F

Next 2 dresses: NL 6502 (the purple dress I used the bodice and just 2 big squares for the dress part)

Next 2 outfits: NL 6689 (they both have matching hats but she hates hats.)

Then the skirt and jacket I already posted the patterns used. These are all super easy patterns. The first one I cut out and made all in about 3 hours. The ruffles took the longest. About 12 feet of ruffles to iron the hem down, then press in and iron again, then ruffle and gather, then sew on. That took the most part of it. Hope this helps.

I love all of these, but the sundress + ruffled pants outfits are my favorite--so cute, yet so practical!
