OMG! its only my second ever stencil.  Ha, can you say I like challenges!  I hope she loves it as much as I do!!!!
Used freezer paper.  I want to marry freezer paper. (and its intentionaly mottled. i stipled it with a stiff brush)

using a makeshift light box was my saving grace...that and a little prozac will make you want to stencil the Sistine Chapel! LOL

I used a small crate and a disassembled shop lamp to make the light box.  My Cutting board is cloudy white, so it was perfect.  Except when I had the bulb too upright and hubby was helping and pushed down too hard cutting and now i have a melted hole in my board.  Undecided    Its still usable though, and it was a valuable lesson learned.

with such a detailed stencil though, its a one time use only.  all those tiny spots ripped right off when i peeled it off...even when the paint wasnt all dry.  

She loves it, btw!
