I discovered Craftster a few weeks ago and started out making these little card holders/wallets:

Then I started making bunches of those cloth shopping bags (QueenofDIY's tutorial). This weekend I finally made my first two messenger bags. Here they are:

This one of for my son to keep his piano books and cds in - I made the pocket large enough to hold the CDs he has to take back and forth with him, the strap is perfectly sized for his height. I used this turtle canvasy fabric I got on clearance at Joann Fabrics because I thought it seemed more "boyish" than most of the other choices - but he still thinks it looks too much like a woman's purse.

This next one is for me - although I don't really use bags - but I love the fabrics. They are both from IKEA. The strap is extra long so I can wear it across my body and inside are two pockets - one for pens, one for a wallet or cell phone. I'm still a novice with sewing bags - so you can see sloppy parts. I still love it.
