I made this coffee cozy as part of a Mother's Day gift for my mom this spring.  She is a Starbucks fiend so it was kind of a joke to make something to keep her numerous Venti Lattes extra hot like she likes them!!



I forgot all about making this until I saw the sweater SlickMariaVic is making on this thread

Thats really pretty. I collect those haha. thats actually one of the reasons I took up crochet again and the first thing I made and have made many more since.

Very nice!  Is it a continuous pattern all the way around or is there a seam somewhere?
I want to try cables, and I'm thinking a small project like this would be an ideal first try.

There is a seam in the back that I just sewed up.  Maybe next time I will do I provisional cast on and use kitchner stitch to graft it together.  I didn't know how to do that then- Tongue

It is perfect for practicing a cable!

That's such a cool idea, I want to make one, I know how to cable but wondered how many stitches wide is it? also please can anyone tell me how long I'd need to make it as i don't know the size of a starbucks cup:-)
