hello, this is my first post  Grin

and this is a bag i made today:

it's a very basic shape, just made out of some scrap i found while i was tidying my sewing table, which would otherwise have been headed for the bin. it left off the interfacing because i'm keeping it, and i hate stiffened bags.

it's lightweight denim, lined in printed polycotton, with a little star pocket, and a snap fastening. it doesn't have a strap yet, because i am still deciding whether to give it a denim strap, or a black webbing one.

the little label is the name of my company-to-be. it's a bit budget - just embroidered on bias binding and sewn on. i'm crap at label-making. maybe when i'm rich and famous i will be able to afford swanky labels. ha.

how did you embroider the star so perfectly? my stitching (machine or hand) is always so uneven!

i drew them on with a chalk pencil, followed the stitching on my machine, and then rubbed the chalk off.

wowza. even with an outline, my lines always looks a little scraggaly. i commend your skills!  Grin

WOWOWOW!!!!!!!!!! i wish i knew how to embroider( Huh)!!! those stars  look awesome!!!!!! i love stars and stuff!!! i recently found out how to crochet them into hats!!!!! i was very exited!!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!
