having been inspired by this post here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=176234.0 i proceeded to make another nerdy beanie, this time for my best buddy.

i made it the same way, based off the "boy beanie" from SNB the happy hooker, and then just stitched a circle and some chains onto it!

what do you think?

OMG. I thought it was a pokeball beanie from the thumbnail. I was only a little disappointed, though Cheesy

I thought it was a Pokeball beanie at first too but I still like it though.

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

That is awesome! I'm a ridiculously huge Star Wars geek (I seriously had Star Wars bedsheets before I got married). You should so do a reversible one with the Imperial insignia on one size and the Rebellion's on the other!

Excellent!  My 3-yr old son would be very jealous if he saw this.  I'll have to set a bookmark and maybe make him one for a surprise.

Guess what?!  I made my son a version of this beanie for his 4th birthday!

The pattern for the cap came from http://www.angelfire.com/wv/happyghan/twinstitch.html.  Yarn was from my grandmother's and mother's stashes.

He really likes it.  He grabs it and pulls it on every time we leave the house.

(The images from Craftster photo hosting aren't showing up in the preview.  Hopefully they'll come through in the post.)

So cool, and what a great idea! I think my little Star Wars fanatics would love these.
