Well I really don't know if it's the right place to post it, but I found myself with some flowers and an old vase that we had in the kitchen to contain spaghetti, that my mother wanted to throw away (sorry for my poor english  Tongue). Here's the result:

I love those old spaghetti jars, but I can never find them at our thrift shops! Maybe what you should do is see about making that into a lamp? You could get someone to drill a small hole in the bottom, or on the side near the bottom for the wiring, and make your own lamp shade. Smiley BUT for now it does look very elegant!!!

I think you can, hubby did alot with his little dremel, lol, right now its in the closet (debating on pulling it out for him LOL.) May need a special cutter though since its glass? I'm not sure how that'd work out. If anything, call your local hardware store and see what they have to say. But, your very welcome!
