I was attracted to this pattern because I found it beautiful and unique, however my own version is modified from the original.

I wanted a narrower scarf so I only did two repeats of the centre pattern and I made up a lace rib to get a seaman's style.  I used handspun alpaca on a 3.5mm needle. (I apologize for my lack of artistry with the pictures - a photographer I am not).

wow, pinned out I was trying to see how it could be used as a scarf. But on you its nice and big and looks gorgoues and comfy at the same time. Now I want one.
