These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise! My uncle loves Star Trek so I made him this bag and the Celtics bag I posted in another thread for his birthday. I love making personalized bags for people. It's fun and it helps save the planet!

Ha!  I have a cousin that would love this!  He has one of those posters that outlines every room on the ship and even includes the ship specs., etc... I would embroider something like that for him but it would probably take about 5.5 years... Hmmmm... Maybe I won't make one for him.  I think I'll just sit back and admire yours.  Cheesy

Wow! I love it! Where did you get the pattern from? Did you just take an image of the Enterprise and go from there? What a fantastic gift for your uncle!

I saw that idea posted in the new swap ideas forum a little while ago.  I'm in if the two international swap pkgs I sent today actually arrive soon......

Great job.  Where did you find the image?

Thank you for the nice comments. For the pattern I just did a google image search, found a picture that had pretty good detail, printed it as big as I could get it, drew over the outlines with a fine point black sharpee so it bled through to the back, then I just used my transfer pen to go over the bled through ink on the back of the page, then I ironed it on. Be careful if you do it this way though because the printer ink gets on your iron a little bit so you have to wipe it off before ironing any fabric.

Oooh, I love this embroidery, you did a lovely job!  Thanks for the tips, too.  I was wondering if people were drawing all their designs freehand, and despairing because I can't draw at all.  You've given me hope though!  I must get one of these magical transfer pens.....

This is absolutely cool!  I love Star Trek!  My partner and I have spent the entire summer watching all 7 seasons of DS9 and we are almost finished with Season 7.  I am going to be so sad when it's all over Sad  Anyway, this is so great!  Maybe I could borrow your idea...
