Now I'm a pretty big girl. Not tiny, but not hugely fat either and I'm 5'10 1/2" tall. What do you think?

I think there is one essential ingredient to wearing any costume (not matter what size you are) - confidence! and remember if you don't feel it Smile and Fake it It works just as well, you soon be having too much fun to feel nervous  Grin

oh and I love the pattern - cant wait to see the end pics!!

Our costumes are almost done. i have some hemming and trim to put on, and to make wings. but i won't make the wings till closer to halloween.
these are a little dark the tulle is actually a nice green-blue color...
She didnt want to take it off! i had to hide it!

the things hanging off the side are arm sleeves the are supposed to be attached, but i am going to take them off and slip them on separatly they make the dress part sit funny.

I've got all my fabric for my Shanna costume, but I'm thinking of making this as a backup. I'm wanting to go visit a friend in Florida, so If we go to more than one party, I'm thinking I might want more than one costume. Of course there's always last years Ragedy Ann as an alternate backup too.

i like it!
i'm generally the same height as you
and i'm putting together a pirate costume as well
not quite as snazzy as the two that have been posted
(yours included) but i'm hoping for the best Smiley
and also hoping for my boyfriend to want to be halloween spirited Cheesy
idk what to make him be, if he will be anything.

i may just bleach him a t-shirt with a skull and crossbones on it
so he can wear it more often if he so chooses

woot! progress!!
it fits like a glove... sorry no action shots!

it's not crooked! i promise! it's just the way it's laying!

i'm debating adding some sort of black trim on the bottom, but i'm afraid it will get lost against my black leggings....
and what about black halter straps? good idea or not?

So cute!  If you're going to dance, I might go with straps.

Everyone is making such good progress.  I'm still waiting for fabric.

This sewalong is defiantly inspiration to get started on mine and my sons costume even though I have no idea what we're going to be.

emlee_bee  we should start a club, with a motto or something. "Professional Procrastinators Anonymous" or "PPM" for short. lol. I'm right there with you.  We could have a theme song too, as soon as I think of something appropriate.
