This is my first post after my introductory post, hope I don't break rules or something.

I really needed a place to store my stud earrings.  I have this huge beautiful jewelry box, but since it had no compartments, I kept loosing my stuff.  After loosing another pair of earrings, I decided I'd had enough.

I went to the store and bought these tiny cardboard paper boxes at 99 cents each and set to work.

After deciding on a simple celestial theme, I began by hand drawing some simple shapes.

Then I painted them in using undiluted water colors.  I'm sure other types of  paints would work better but these are the only ones I own.  At first I tried using the paints with a bit of water but the paper just soaked everything up and made a mess, so no water it was.  After the paint dried, I gave the boxes two thick coats of Mod Podge which really made the boxes a lot stronger.

And here's the end result.

Thanks for looking! ^^

I liked the sun the best.  Smiley I'm impressed at how vibrant they came out using watercolors. Very nice!

Yay! ^^  I'm so glad you liked!

I think the colors came out so vibrant because the paints were so thick.  When I use them with water, the colors aren't more than 'meh'.  I'm afraid I'm running out of white though.  (._.)
I'm the lost one.
