Okay, so I have to make a plant or animal cell for my science class. So, I did a search and found this and this, but unfortunately, I don't have the time to crochet the parts. Maybe if I get lucky I might be able to do the pillow, but just in case, I need a back-up plan.

I want to make this project as easy as possible, while still being unique and crafty.

I appreciate your help! Thanks in advance! Smiley

Not sure how feesable this is, but it would sure cheer up the depressed reduced sugar intake pregnant chick. Smiley Could you decorate a cake, or even a cupcake to look like a cell? A fun trip to the candy store might be good for inspiration.  Grin
On the less self-satisfying side, instead of a big pillow, you could do a smaller pin cushion of felt. Verybigjen does some really amazing pin cushions w/ felt. Here's her flickr for inspiration (http://flickr.com/photos/verybigjen/collections/72157594588116047).
Hope I helped at least get your creative juices flowing. Good luck!

Looking to do a personal swap for any boyish nursery print flannels! I can send polymer clay charms, purses, paper crafts, microscope slide pendant kit, and a lot more.

Hehe, I did this same project last year and made it out of cake(like said in above message).  Some people made it out of rice crispy treats (as they were easy to mould into things), and one person made it out of a sewn pillow.  I agree, I think crocheting it would take quite a while.  I think making it out of felt would work the best as it is easy(-er than many other things) yet crafty.  Good luck!  I hope you post a picture of it when you are done   Smiley

Rice crispies! Good idea!

Thanks so much for the inspiration! I think I have an idea of what I'm going to do now. Smiley
