we've been best friends since we were 14.
now i'm heading into sophomore year of college
and she's heading into her freshman year... but a 9 hour drive away.
so, in order to make sure she WILL NOT forget me
(which i know she wont.  we've got about a billion ways of communication)
i made her this beast of a project:

last night when we were up till 3am talking about high school.
and talking about some of the pictures that we look horrible in Tongue

Smiley
------
the pictures cover everything from both of us having braces
concert tickets, meeting celebrities (for reals), high school dances in duct tape dresses, to junior prom with our matching boyfriends.
------
the middle section is yarn tied.
and the remains are quilted
my poor machine having this quilt beast shoved through it.
its finally finished, so it should be happy that i'm going back to doing smaller, machine friendly bags Tongue

I use June Taylor's colorfast ink-jet sew in sheets.
you run them through your ink-jet printer and then heat set them
rinse, and then iron them dry.
cut and sew in.

they are so easy to use, and look like actual photos
i use the pink package, and they can be found in the quilting section at joanns

What a great gift!  You're very talented.  I'm sure she'll love having something like this in her dorm room.

I might have to try putting photos on fabric in the future...  Smiley
