I am totally in for that then - I can do a craftalong - it will be my very first one believe it or not.. I don't know why I haven't done any of them in the past...

I will search it out after picking up my kids at school.... It's carline time..

and I know what you mean about missing stuff and being addicted to craftster - It is my refuge to keep me sane while I am working on my projects... either that or my hands get all knotted up. I have to take a break here or there!

This is a cross post of "Paisley the Pretty Poppet" but I had a great idea for clothes for this doll:

It's Rostichery's infinity dress:

That way we don't need to mess with necklines or sleeves or anything like that!

Here is a doll dress tute.  It is just a couple of rectangles, and could be modified to fit poppet.  Just leave the back seam open a little in the back so you can fit it over her hips.

The polka dot dress... If you ever made clothes you know what the basic tshirt front and back looks like.  I cut some that would fit her and put seam binding around the edge.

How did you put the hair on? I make dolls too but I have a hard time putting the hair on. Haha.

I used hot glue.  I know, I know, bad dollmaker.  I make long strands of hair, and gather them up, and tie them in the middle.  Then I place the hair until I am satisfied it, put some hot glue on the tie in the center and stick it down.  Then I decide on a style and use tacky glue for more "coverage" so she doesn't look like she's balding.

Okay, I'll have to try that. Smiley Do you have the tut for the poppets? I need a weekend craft project. Wink

hey ghilie! Just wanted to drop you a line letting you know I AM still planning on testing this pattern out... Life has been crazy lately, but it should be all done by Christmas, I'm in the process of gathering the materials now.

And everyone, your poppets are adorable! I'm nervous and eager to make one for my little one soon..
