I need to think of things to make with my remnant pieces - but most of them are things like wool suitings in browns or neutrals.  Does anyone with dolls need business suits  Cheesy

Hee hee ... what about business accessories? You could use your remnants to make business card holders, PDA or cell phone cases, wallets or checkbook covers, or even a zippered WIP pouch for smuggling crafts into your cubical/office without raising suspicion ...

Oh, and the plastic canvas links are priceless! I've got a couple of funky plastic canvas pattern books that will be posted in my STS supply shop when I'm up to swapping again - one is for making a doll house!

I've skimmed thru the past few days of this thread, and I'm sure I've missed plenty, but wanted to say thanks for the well wishes & concerns ... These meds make me alternate from super-loopy to sleepy, so I won't be crafting anytime soon, but I'll check in every once in a while when I'm up to it.

Added some more batik and a test shibori scarf. I need to get a smaller diameter pipe for the shibori.

Atsuko, I'm working on Lana's coat tonight, if I get off the computer that is  Smiley

Oooh, that sea sock yarn is gorgeous!! Is it enough to make a pair of socks (haven't tried making socks yet, but I'm tempted!) ?

Where did all this fabric come from? I CAN'T have bought THAT much!

Yes it is enough to make a pair of socks with plenty of leftover.  The skein is 100 grams.

It's my mum's birthday today and besides the tunic I sewed her, some bath salt I got in a previous round of this swap and the scarf from penguino I gifted her 2 points to claim something she likes  Cheesy

Penguino, she loves the scarf! I am to tell you that it is perfect for fall around here and that it will get lots of use! And she was really tempted to open the letter before, but I made her wait  Cool

Ok, sorry for being almost completely a silent mod this month.  It's been nuts.

As an update, I think the rules for next round will be the same as the rules for this round, yay!

Also, I went in to Michael's this weekend and talked to the Event Coordinator some more.  It basically sounds like, as long as I don't fail the integrity/ethics test thing, that I'm hired! Woo!
