I saw the idea to do this on craftster.org. I found the blank journal someplace, painted it all white with craft paint, then i took these ribbons that i got at Wal-mart and hot-glued them on. I think it turned out great!

Thanks for lookin' - tell me what you think of this! Cheesy

Some people may think they clash, but I love reds and pinks together!  Are yoy gonna put anything over the ribbon ends on the inside of the book?

yeah, i decided that the ribbons on the inside covers looked kind of tacky, so i covered them with a picture from a magazine. I also started decorating the inside of the journal with random clippings and such.

*GROK*   Cheesy
I have a plain, blank journal just waiting to be decorated and sent to a friend as a Christmas present.  I was kind of stumped as to how to decorate it...but now, I think I'll try this!

Cowgirl, I got my plain journal from Target.  It's big and it's shiny pink, which may be why it cost $7.
