Nope, still waiting.  I'm crossing my fingers and hoping my package for barbolot won't be long!  I hope my package that I sent is received soon too!  Smiley

YAAA-HOOOO! I received from Aussie_patches today... and she received from me!  Cheesy  Now what are the chances of that?  My package to her decided to take a detour to Papua, New Guinea for some reason, but it finally made it to its final destination.

That being said, my package from aussie_patches is SOOOOOOO lovely!  I will take photos in the morning, when I can take advantage of some lovely natural morning light.  Be sure to check back later to see my goodies! Smiley

I'm so happy with my gorgeous items!!

Firstly... the reason my package was delayed....

big whoops by the post office......

Here is the complete package

A tote bag made from several pairs of jeans, a curtain panel and some bird fabric

A pincushion made from a recycled bottlecap, felt scraps, polyfil and thread.  It has a grape design on it - it is so pretty!!!

A pouch made from a vintage maternity dress and scraps from a flower girl dress

Thankyou so much barbolot!!!  Just beautiful, I love it all!

Oh wow, those are beautiful items with great fabrics. Love the jean purse, hardly looks reconned!

barbolot, you did an amazing job with that bottlecap pincushion.  I made one once and well, lets just say no where near as nice as yours.

I'm glad the package made it!  It looks like everything is clued up?

Barbalot- Your package is lovely.  As has been already said they look like brand new items, I wouldn't have guessed they were reconned items.

I especially like the tote - it looks fabulous.  Glad it finally arrived - such great stuff shouldn't be lost!

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

Here are my lovelies from aussie_patches, which arrived in recycled packaging! (Yay!)

Here's a group shot:

This is my new tote, fashioned out of placemats, scrap fabric, a vintage pillowcase, tablecloth, and the cord from a blind! The brooch is a super-cute touch.  I'm going shopping this afternoon, and this is definitely coming with me!

These have to be my favorite.  These mini-canvases were claimed from the curb, and altered with 1950's vintage catalogues, vintage gift wrap, recycled book pages, and some cool buttons.  These are SO my style!

This is a tiny book, made about 10 years ago, detailing these lovely projects... and includes a fab stash of vintage buttons for me!  Cheesy

This package was well worth the wait.  Thank you so much, aussie_patches!

Thank you, all, for the sweet compliments, too!  I love the bird tote, too.

Those are both amazing swaps and I covet all of it! I think that's such a funny post office story. Once, when I lived in Bulgaria I had a package sent from Connecticut that went to China first before it made its way to Eastern Europe Roll Eyes.
