Hello everybody,  Huh

I'm a vegan about month and a half.
2.5 years ago i started to take Accutane (it's a strong and almost always ultimate treatment aganist acne), so in the past two years i haven't had any acne at all, maybe a small-tiny zit once in a while.

But now, since I'm a vegan, all my face gone mad. Actually, i don't blame it on the veganism, but i think it's cause of the TOFU.
There is a direct correlation between my new acne and the time i eat tofu.
in the first two weeks i thought maybe it's a "clearing process" of the body (and i ate healthy and etc). but a month later i started to think it's from the tofu.

And indeed, i didn't eat tofu in the last days, and my face much-much better.

I didn't find any reference in Goggle about Tofu and Acne. But i almost sure it because of it, it's strange - cause the phytoestrogens in tofu are "good" for acne.

BTW, i ate about 35 gr tofu per day, & not always. so i didn't over consume to much or any others soy products.

I don't have an opinion either way. There is a lot of talk about the estrogen levels in soy products, and as most women have come to know hormones can affect acne. I did want to know more about it after reading your post, so I did some googling myself.(soy+estrogen+acne).
This is what I found:
http://www.soya.be/soy-allergy.php - you could have a soy allergy
It's up to you to decide what's best for you, but at least the sites show you're not alone. Now if only I could find a way to get rid of this pregnancy acne I've had for the past 6 months!

Looking to do a personal swap for any boyish nursery print flannels! I can send polymer clay charms, purses, paper crafts, microscope slide pendant kit, and a lot more.

Well, I didn't think about allergy at all. but i probably  have soy allergy and maybe legumes allergy - the acne (and a violent one) and the eczema, which i ignore, but usually i don't scraping myself as a maniac.

I'll have allergy test as soon as possible.

Thank you.

anna- are you still on accutane?   i hated that medicine - does/did it dry your lips out like crazy, i took it for over two years and stop because of depression (yeah apparently the stuff causes it)

hope all is well

Just another idea -- your skin can be affected by vitamin deficiencies, so it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to see a dietitian to figure out if you are getting all the nutrients you need, especially if you are new to being vegan.
