Hi y'all! I just finished this shirt for my Basset Hound. (I was bored watching TV, never mind it's 1:30 am) It's really hard to find clothes in Sammy's size, but he just loves to get dressed up! (you really should see him strut his stuff!)

Anyways, I didn't wear this shirt anymore, so I decided to make it into one for him. It started off as just a long-sleeved baseball type shirt, the picture was on the front.

(Oh, and I am planning of shortening the sleeves a bit more.)

(He's a wonderful model, as you can see.)

Here's a close-up of the image on the shirt:

Hope you enjoy! It's really easy to make (providing you have a cooperative poochie), and very handy for larger breeds. I would assume it would work alright for smaller dogs too, so long as you used smaller shirts. The one I used was a Large, Sam is about 60 pounds and has a 24" chest. I only had to remove about 2 inches of fabric for him, but it has a loose comfy fit. (He doesn't really move around too much... like I said, Basset hound...  Wink)

Okee! I went ahead and made a tute! It's got lots of pictures, so I just posted it on my blog. You can find it here:

If you have any questions, just let me know!

Looks great! I have an NFL jersey (NOT A VICK ONE!) but it doesn't fit my broad chested baby -- and it is an XXL!

Long story short, I need to start making my own!

He's adorable!  And he looks just thrilled. Wink

A little prancy, maybe, but it doesn't take long for him to just go right back to sleep!  Cheesy

I think I am going to make a tute, but I have a few errands to run today before I can get started on it. Smiley

so cute!  I used to have a Basset and love love loved him!

I just started doing the same thing for my dog.  She's part Saluki so she has the very broad chest and skinny minny waist so buying clothes that fit never really works out.  I'm still not great at sewing but watching her be all cute with the clothes makes me want to get better!
