What a lovely clutch! That is some lucky friend you have there.  Wink
I may have missed the post but I was wondering, whether you posted the pattern for the clutch itself?
If not, I would love to have the pattern for it. That is, if you don't mind sharing your pattern of course.
I stopped crocheting earlier this year so that I could learn how to knit, but when I saw this on the main page... WOW!!!  I love it!
You did such a beautiful job on it. Great work!   Smiley

I havent posted the pattern for the clutch itself, but it was pretty easy. Basically, I just figured out how long I wanted it and chained that many (I think about 30. I used Simply Soft double stranded, so its rather thick) then single crocheted until I got it tall enough to fold over onto itself (approximately 32 rows, I believe, but you could make it longer) then worked the flap, which is basically the same but decreasing at the beginning and end of each row for about 16? rows. I folded the thing up how it would be and seamed up the sides using shells (single stranded: chain 3, dc4, skip two sts, *sc, skip two sts, dc 5, rep from * around until I got to the end of the "body".. then I just worked around the flap, up over to the other side and seamed the other side)

Make sense? haha probably not. In a week or two I may make another one, so if I do I'll take some pictures and write up an actual pattern. I'm suuuuper busy trying to get some other projects done or else I'd do it now. Maybe this weekend, we'll see.

Wow, thanks so much for sharing. That is very kind of you to do. I just LOVE your clutch.  Shocked
And it sounds so easy to do. Guess I'd better hurry up and get some of my other projects finished off, pronto!
