christams 05 dress; i cannot believe its already 2007.

this dress i made the right way, with a pattern and no shortcuts.  this is also the only dress i made with a pattern and directions. the bodice is lined and theres a zipper in the middle of the back.

fall homecoming/christmas 06 dress.

i guess i like to stick to traditional christmas colors?  basically the same thing as the dress before, but i freehanded? it.  its sew easy to sew something the second time!!  the fabric is table cloth weight lame.

this was the first dress i made that made me fall in love with raw edges and inverted seams.  half of the seams are in, hlaf our out.  i dyed it in chemistry class hahaha.

this dress is pretty much the same concept as the one above.

spring homecoming 07 dress.
the edges are raw, all of the top stiching is navy, as well as the ziipper, which i sewed on top.

by far one of my favorite things ever, and the most recent thing ive made. yesterday i made big bows out of some remaining red lame and added them to the back and bodice of this dress, i would take pics but my camera isnt working.  i really just want people to be like, that dress is rediculous, when they see it.

actually, i lied. this dress is the most recent thing ive made.
i dont really like it, and havent even bothered to put it on craftster yet, but i cant decide why. i do however, love the back.  my mom had this really old zipper laying around that was the exact same length as the dress.  so i decided to make it go up all the way! i lays flatter than the picture shows.

the end....
for those of you who havent seen thes dresses before, what do you think?!
and for those of you who have, i hope you appreciated the new, better pictures.

I like the last dress so much! It's patchwork-esque and very cute. All your dresses are wonderful, seriously. Great job! You should sew more (your freehand creations are awesome!).

Wow, you are a dress making machine!  Shocked I can't decide which one I like best; you did a great job on all of them. I'd love to see more of your creations when you make them.

They're all terrific. My fav is the long-zip patchwork. And the over-the-top rose print with tulle is tulle much!

PS: it takes a real seamstress to make a rough finish seams-outside dress look punky postmodern stylish. Congratulations!
