That cowboy boot is AWESOME.
The chair organiser is pretty cool too.  I might try to make one for my "Mom".

thanks soo much--i was really worried about the boot organizer since it just came to me in the middle of the night and i just whipped it up in about 1 hour at about 2am after being up since 6a but everyone who came to my house and saw it liked it best out of everything.

the chair organizer was mccalls 4274 just tweaked a little bit.

bronzfrog--love everything esp the jewelry.

 Grin Grin Grin Grin

yay, my mom just received after a big scare from the po saying it was going back to linnybelle.  she loves everything esp the lap blanket although she says its too pretty to use--its going up on the wall somewhere.  she will also be using one of the thank you notes she sent to thank her (she will also email you a thank you per her).  andi (her dog) also loves her new blanket.  mom also loves the page marker--once she realized what it was her mind was whirling on what all it would be good for besides holding open pages for her knitting--in the kitchen, to hold patterns down, etc.  she is soo crafty.  she will be sending me pics but until she gets them to me hopefully linnybelle can post pics for me.  thanks again linny and sooooo sorry for the scare.

bronzfrog, thanks for posting the pics! Your stuff looks so pretty.

Can someone please tell me what a lapblanket is? Is it basically just a small afghan, or is it something else?

Basically a small blanket.  I just got a piece of fleece that was the same length as the width and finished the edges.

Supermedic asked me to post pictures of what I sent her mom, so here goes...
A group shot:

The lapquilt:

The ladies at my summer job were all jealous and I'm very proud of this one.  All the corners match and everything!   Smiley I couldn't get a really good picture of the whole thing.  It has nine pinwheel squares, alternating between a white anchoring fabric and a pansy fabric, with a thin purple border, a larger pansy border, and then bound with extra backing fabric.  It's tied with different white buttons from my stash.  It's just big enough to fit over a lap, I've forgotten the measurements.

Here's a view of the center square, which happens to be my favorite one:

And a closer view of the corner, which shows the border fabrics:

The page holder:

It's filled with beans and works pretty well.  I tested it before I sent it.  It has an embroidered "M" on it.

Flower card set:

These all have fabric details, made out of scrap fabric from another project.  Two say some variation on "thank you" and one is completely blank.

Random fabric card:

I like using fabric on cards.  The heart is white felt and the other has a white background.

Random quote card:

The quote is "Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to keep silence" and is from Victor Hugo.

A dog mat, for Andi:

This idea came to me after my cat sat on my black pants again.  She's almost all white, so I thought sending something supermedic's mom could use when she didn't want her dog to get hair all over her clothes would be good.  It's denim and some fun fabric I had lying around.  It is reversible, but the other side isn't as interesting, I was running out of the white fabric.

Despite the heartstopping post office screw up, this was a wonderful swap!  I had a lot of fun and supermedic definitely made my mom's day!

Finally! Photos of what Haylie sent my mom:

I forgot to rotate it, but on the bottom is a reversable tote bag with a lighthouse on it, and above it is a three drawer jewelry box.  she also made a mom magnet, a necklace, and a painted shell (all sitting on the tote)

close-up of the jewelry box:

top:

And Haylie made me a tote, too:

(i'm gong on a cruise with my favourite band, barenaked ladies next january)

And, both bags were reversible, so here's the inside:

Mom loved everything, and i immediately started using my bag as a purse Cheesy
