A good friend of mine sent me over here to get some feed back on some of the hats I make. I make them for many different styles and I am always looking for neat ideas, and for people to tell me what they think of them. Smiley

The first two I just finished on the 4th

Obi Fabric I picked up while in Hawaii

I mostly use wool felt on my hats. Buckram is the base and I make all of them by hand (normally). I use a few premade hats like this one:

I like to mix the styles up and kind go outside of the norms for hats and fascinators. I try to make all of them different so people don't get bored.

Thanks for taking a look Smiley

Those are very pretty.  Are they as small as they look?  If so, how do they stay on?

Yup! They are tiny, mini, or small. Smiley

I sew combs underneath the hat or sew loops for bobby pins to attach to someone's hair. The loops are also used for ribbon if someone is unable to use bobby pins.

Thanks Cheesy

I've gotta say that I adore the first too hats. They are all very well done, just aesthetically and as something I would wear... love the first too.

Great job!

oh yeah... and the one with the gears was awesome as well

Oh I do sell them, I'm just really getting started to sell'em. I'm even trying my hand at some craft fairs. Cheesy

I really try to go for the aesthetically pleasing look on them. Even if they do not fit in certain styles or cross over to new ones. I just really love how they look Smiley

Yes, the steampunk look is gaining popularity or steam as one could say... (oh that was bad)

you are very very talented!  I loved the simplistic classiness of the black tri-cornered hat.  The attention to detail on your hats is superb.  Have you thought of expanding your handiwork to couture clothing??  I don't doubt that you would make gorgeous clothing!

Tilt hats are a bit different from the normal ones that are out there.
