How This Swap Works:
Please READ CAREFULLY! This swap works differently than most!

Try to imagine a chain.  The first link is the first person whose wish list is on page 1 (Person A) - that will be the craftster member who was the very last wish list from ongoing wish swap 22.

Now, we want to put another link in the chain.  People will read that list and see if there is something they want to/can make from the list.

Someone (Person B) will claim Person A for some item on their wish list.  They post a reply to the thread that says “I claim Person A for [item].  This is my X claim (however many times they have picked someone – for example, "this is my fourth wish, with one sent, and three received,” (meaning that this is the fourth claim they've made, one is in transit to it's destination, and three of the items have been received by the people they previously claimed).  Also add your location, and any preferences or aversions – “I live in Wisconsin USA, I am a vegetarian, and I am allergic to wool”.

IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU REPLY WITH YOUR STATUS WHEN YOU CLAIM SOMEONE!  This means you need to post who you are claiming and for what, how many claims you have made, including how many in transit and how many received, and your location/preferences/aversions.

Then comes the fun part!  After the introduction, Person B is the last link in the chain, and they post their wish list!!!  YOU CAN HAVE AS MANY ITEMS ON YOUR WISH LIST AS YOU WANT, HOWEVER YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF SIX.  THE MORE ITEMS YOU LIST, THE BETTER YOUR CHANCES OF BEING CLAIMED QUICKLY.

(Please have your list ready, this swap moves very quickly!  Please include your country at the start of your wish list). Person B will also PM Person A to get her address so they can mail the item when it is finished.

Along comes Person C, who claims Person B for something on their list and the chain is built, link by link.  (If Person C wanted to make Person B a purse AND a stuffie, that would still count as ONE WISH.)  Then they post their list, and so on.

When you want to make a claim, you can ONLY pick from the very last wish list in the chain.  You can't pick anyone else in the chain - you can only connect to the very end of the chain, which is that last wish list posted.

After you have made your claim, you need to PM that person for their address.

Friends of Craftster are allowed 3 wishes at one time, others are allowed 2 wishes.  If this is your first swap, you are only allowed one wish until your craft is received.  Do not choose over your given limit.
Become a Friend of Craftster!  Go here: https://www.craftster.org/subscribe.php

If you are at your limit of wishes, you can choose again once one of your partners receives, NOT when you send.
***Do not claim someone unless you can fulfill that wish to a high caliber***

Let's keep the quality high here. I don't want to receive PMs with people concerned over the lack of quality of their items.  Please, just work your hardest to keep the bar high on the quality of items here!  Don't choose just for the sake of choosing; choose to make someone else a really AWESOME wish!

Now if the thread gets in a rut for a few days/hours, the person who made the last wish should add to their list if they can think of anything else, until someone decides to craft for them.
Unsure of where to find wish ideas?  Try the previous ongoing wish swap galleries or any other gallery on craftster.  Look through your fellow crafter’s wist lists.

Please be communicative if you are having any issues. If you communicate you still need to send your item in a timely manner.  Communication does not mean you can send as late as you want.  After one week past the deadline you will have negative feedback.  This is only temporary as it will be changed back once you fulfill your obligation for late item(s).  Do not choose to craft an item if you do not think you can meet these deadlines.

I will be giving feedback in the following way:
-  great swapper: for those who follow all the rules
-  good/poor communication:  where applicable
-  sent late/early: where applicable
-  no dc number: failed to comply with the rule about using a delivery confirmation number for packages within your own country
- didn't post pictures: failed to post pictures of what they received without an adequate explanation to their partner

Here is Muria's list from OWS23:

I claim Banga for a passport/ticket holder!

This is my 3rd claim, 1 sent, 0 received.  I'm also in Michigan, in the U.S.
My wish list:

Clover's needle felting tool (with the neat plastic guard so if I try to felt roving, there's a chance I won't spear myself).

A Stephanie Pearl-McPhee book

Stitch markers for either knitting or crochet (don't have any, getting sick of twist ties) Thanks Samsara!!

long denim skirt, at least A-line so I can sit on the floor with my kids without hearing the fabric rip at the slit

Mary Roehr's Pressing to Perfection video (to my knowledge, only available at sewtrue.com or second hand, but my ironing skills... aren't).

Would love a dog t-shirt (for my 32 pound doggie with allergies to keep him from hurting himself when he scratches).

crafting magazines- Would love knitting, crochet, beading or sewing magazines Thanks baby-bumblebee!

The bead storage containers from : https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=168811.msg1787288#msg1787288

Berroco  needle/hook roll: I love the one with the cables

http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring05/PATTspringfling.html  in white please.

Glittens (the gloves with the fold over mitten, for when it gets cold).

I can always use hair accessories.

Anything from my wist, naturally, though it's fairly tiny.

About me:  I'm a 35 year old  mom of 4.  I sew, crochet, bead, embroider, and knit (though I just started knitting).  My favorite colors are blue and green, but I like most colors in the jewel tone range. Orange and yellow, however, look awful on me, so cool tones are best.  I like cherries, snowflakes, autumn leaves, and my tastes tend towards the romantic.  I prefer practical items  to purely decorative items, as well as items suited to a household with 4 kids (g to pg rating, preferrably nothing breakable).

Thanks in advance for crafting for me!  I'll try to come up with some more stuff, as there isn't very much at the moment.  Smiley

As my list appears to be stalling the swap, I'd also appreciate the following:

Fabric, preferrably 1 1/2 yards/m or longer, in teal, blues, green, black, etc. (prefer cool colors)

Some self-striping yarn would be awesome.

Some dyeable yarn would be fun, too.

A felted soap kit or felted soaps!  I've been wanting to try them.

About a yard of upholstery fabric to recover my sewing room chair.

Some cute cards to send with my swap packages (my papercrafting skills, like my ironing skills, are non-existent).

I'll keep thinking.  Smiley

I will claim Muria for some Stephanie Pearl Mcphee books and homemade cards.

I am allowed two claims, this is my 1st claim, 0 in transit, 0 received.

I am in Virginia, USA

My wishlist, in no particular order:
*My boyfriend really wants a Link (from the Zelda videogame) amigurumi. I can’t crochet for the life of me, so I would be eternally grateful to anyone who would make one. Here’s a pic: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b385/fukcmegently/LinkZeldaGC_copiecopy.jpg
*I reeeaaaaaaaaalllly want a t-shirt that has the text “Any wish can come true in exchange for something dear to you” in pretty letters. (PM me for size)
*I have been drooling over the idea of having a tote bag/purse with this image on it: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/222/518015827_472eee5600_b.jpg
*The hair ties in this picture are so cute! I would like a pair like this:
*Half and full aprons.
*Tree of life necklace
*Original artwork. My apartment looks so empty. I need something to cover the walls.
*Handspun/dyed yarn
*Either all-red or all-blue quilt squares. 6”x6”
* Crochet or knit afghans (I’m anemic, so I get cold easily)
* A wist inspired surprise

*Ribbon- the wider the better
*Thread (all I have is those tiny spools that come in packs of 12 or so. They’re really not so good for using with the sewing machine I got for my birthday)
*Fabric- any design, any color, scraps are good too
*Glass or shell beads (or pretty much anything but pony beads)
*Pretty buttons in fun shapes
*Fabric pens or fabric paint- not the puffy stuff though
*Jewelry findings- earrings, toggle clasps, headpins/eyepins…….
*Beading cord
*Printed origami paper or even pretty scrapbook paper

*Anything resin.
*Needle felting
*Domino pendants
*Wire wrapped jewelry
*Journal making
*Stuffed toys
*I’d like to try working with polymer clay, too!

* Seat cushions (I got some dining room chairs off the road, but they have no seats  Angry)
*These are probably long shots, but I would really like either subscriptions to, or used back issues of: knit.1/ crochet today/ sew simple/ threads/ jewelry crafts/ craft: (BIG wish!)
*Craft books. I would especially like books for making stuffed toys or for making jewelry, or anything really. Surprise me.

Things about me:
I’m twenty years old and a full time student studying biology. I dabble in knitting, papercrafts, beading, shrinky dinks, and embroidery, but I mostly sew. I like pretty much anything, except animal prints. I adore all things Asian-especially if it’s from Japan. I love everything kawaii, bright, colorful, funky, fresh. I like any color, especially blue and pink, but not orange and bright neon yellow.

I claim dizzylizzy for a Wist inspired surprise.
This is my 1st claim, 0 sent, 0 received.

My list in a second..

Hello everyone! My name is Samantha and I’m a nineteen (twenty on 9/11) year-old South Carolinian (USA). I am currently attending college to receive a degree in elementary education, and I’m also working as a substitute teacher for elementary schools (where instead of calling me by my actual name, the kids prefer “The Rock Star Substitute” or “Ms. Hollywood”). I’m the proud mommy of Clara the rat, who is, quite possibly, the most spoiled animal on the planet. I also just got a brand new black lab puppy named Ninja.  I’m mainly a crocheter, but I tamper in a variety of other crafts as well. I tend to enjoy “odd” or “strange” things, and am secretly a huge nerd. I watch way too many horror movies, and I play way too many video games (PM me for a list of favorites for either.)

Favorite Colors: Greens (lime, olive, kelly), bright pink, brown, black, blues (especially turquoise and navy), purple. I also like black/white together.

Likes: Horror movies, serial killers, zombies, rodents (especially rats), skulls, Halloween, anything dealing with the supernatural, stars, tattoos, leafless trees, apples, snails, handguns, cutesy Japanese-inspired (kawaii) stuff, video games, caffeine, fawns, octopi/squid, Care Bears, cupcakes.

Hates: The color yellow, cold weather, birds (I have a phobia), sports, rap music, monkeys, math, politics.

I realize this list is pretty large, but I wanted to have a variety of things so there was no chance of me slowing the swap. Wink

-M&P soap making supplies. (Molds, bases, fragrances, etc.)
-Yarn, of any sort. Cotton or any other natural fibers would be especially appreciated, though.
-Magic yarn ball.
-Any crafting or crochet magazines/books. Vintage or Japanese is GREAT, but I’d adore anything.
-Roving for felted soap and/or spinning.
-Plastic eyes for making amigurumi. All sizes and colors are needed/welcome!
-Plastic bags (like the kind they give you in grocery stores) in fun colors to use for crocheting. I have plenty of white and tan/brown ones, but I’d LOVE some in bright colors!

DIY Kits:
-Resin casting. (Specifically pendants and magnets.)
-Tapestry crocheting.
-Shrinky-dink earrings/pendants.
-Polymer clay pendants.
-Some sort of “Sew This!” kit. I have a sewing machine, but so far I’ve only made one tote with it because I just can’t seem to get the hang of it. So, some sort of kit with supplies and instructions on how to make something simple, yet cute, but be great! The more practice I can get on my machine, the better! Smiley

Crafted items:
-*BIG WISH!* A re-constructed shirt from a horror movie t-shirt. Maybe something like this? Or this? Or feel free to come up with something else. Smiley
-Any stenciled/embroidered/embellished t-shirts or tank tops with any of my “Likes” as the theme. There are a few on my Wist that I love.
-A zip-up hoodie (size Adult M-L) with “I [anatomical heart] My [silhouette of a rat]” (appliquéd, stenciled, whatever) on the back. I have a stencil of a rat that can be used as a pattern for the silhouette. Any color hoodie is fine.
-Anything else to show off my rat mommy pride.
-Something for my new puppy. He’s a black lab and his name is Ninja, so anything with a ninja or Asian theme would be awesome…A cute collar would be especially great! Smiley
-Grocery totes in cute fabric. I’m going to start using these every time I go shopping.
-Any cute/original stuffie or amigurumi. I’d love to see what kind of great stuff all you Craftsters can come up with!
-Messenger bag. There are a bunch on my Wist.
-A crochet hook case. I’m currently in love with this one: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=136510.0
-Some sort of art for my walls. I’d love something with a dark/horror theme, but something bright and funky would be awesome, too.
-Mary Janes or Vans-style slip-ons. They can be crocheted/knitted, painted, embellished, whatever. Just something funky and cute. (PM me for shoe size.)
-I’d really love a shirt like this: http://www.glarkware.com/securestore/c181846p16832553.2.html
-Anything with this on it (shirt, tote, pillowcase, whatever. Smiley ): http://www.theanticraft.com/archive/samhain06/iheartzombies.htm
-A ribcage shirt. I absolutely love this one: http://www.wists.com/flavoredtrash/be5a5eaca73b638ad19adf5bd5450784?offset=100
-A cute skirt. Please, at least knee length. (PM me for measurements.)
-Pajama pants or shorts..capri length would be great, too. (PM me for measurements.)
-A Tree of Life necklace. I love the color of wire used on this one: http://www.wists.com/flavoredtrash/895f31bc7ef1d30c6d649147d15f0d0b?offset=0
-Knitted socks. I have examples of some that I like on my Wists.
-Cute stationary and address labels to use in all my Etsy/swap packages.
-A stuffie like this for my boyfriend. He’s a huge video game nerd, and has been wanting one forever.
-A knitted tube top. Maybe in some sort of cotton yarn, since I do live in the South. Wink
-A knitted Wicked sweater. http://www.zephyrstyle.com/catalog/item.cfm/2367447/3974522
-A knitted Rusted Root http://www.zephyrstyle.com/catalog/item.cfm/2367447/3289215
-A knitted Mrs. Darcy http://indieknits.wordpress.com/patterns/
-Resin coasters; with a horror or some other cool theme.
-Anything from/inspired by my Wist. It’s huge and there is plenty to choose from. I do ask that you please check the comments, though. Wink

Other Things:
-If you’re from the northern states, maple syrup and/or coffee syrup. My FIL is from Rhode Island, and now has me hooked on the stuff. Unfortunately, I can find neither here in SC.
-Something interesting from your country that can’t be gotten in the United States. (I’d love to try some soft drinks and candy/snacks from different areas, but anything would be great.)
-Candy is always great if you want to add a little something extra to the package. My favorites are sour things, and fruity stuff like Starburst and Sprees.

*And, as always, I’m up for personal swaps for anything on the above list. Smiley *

About me:  I am a 15 year-old girl living in suburban Pennsylvania.  My crafts are knitting and crocheting and stencilling, but I would love to learn more!  I love singing, acting, and occasionally dancing.  I have been categorized as girly and a drama queen.  I knit and crochet, each for about a year now.  I think I might be addicted to craftser.org.  I enjoy reading, shopping, and fashion.  When I get older, I would love to travel ANYWHERE, but especially to Paris, as I excel in French class.  My favorite color is purple and I enjoy modern, clean, but still funky styles. and sometimes kitsch. I love chocolate and have no allergies.
