Leah, this is what happens when you have a well run and nicely maintained website with plenty of support!

I love craftster. All joking aside, this is a fantastic resource. I hope you become fabulously wealthy! You deserve it with all the work you put in here.

Congratulations, Leah - and thank you for bringing Craftster to all of us - while I can't speak for anyone else, the world you've created here, and allowed 100,000 of us to be a part of, has made my world a better place.

And I just want to say one more thing: I was hardly ever into crafts before finding this website. Craftster changed my life forever, and finding it was one of the best things that ever happened to me!

I feel the exact same way.  I found craftster one day and have been inspired ever since.  Now I don't even remember what I used to do with my life before I found craftster.  This place is amazing.  <3 everyone here

Whoo-hoo! Congratulations!! In the short time that I have been a member, I have been inspired and humbled by all of the amazing people and their work. Craftster is a truly wonderful community of folks. Thanks, Leah, Sweets and all of the mods for making Craftster possible.

And, being the geek that I am, I composed "An Ode to Craftster" which I now present...

An Ode to Craftster

It was started in 2003,
By Leah Kramer dont you see.
Members were few to begin,
But then plenty of others joined in.
The forum has grown,
And become more well known.
So, hooray for Craftster! Hooray!

Time Magazine said it all
Naming Craftster, if you recall,
A cool website, no doubt,
And one we cant live without.
Over 100,000 members strong
Itll be 200,000 before long!
So, hooray for Craftster! Hooray!

So thank all of the mods we must,
They keep Craftster from turning to dust.
They work hard it is true
Improving Craftster for you
They keep all of the boards clean
(And without being mean)
So, hooray for Craftster! Hooray!

The members help make the site great
And to crafting they all can relate.
They give support and advice,
And theyre always so nice!
Their ideas, patterns and tutes
Can help you find your crafty roots.
So, hooray for Craftster! Hooray!

If you knit or sew or crochet
Or work with paper, glass or clay
Craftster is a place you can use
To get the latest ideas and craft news.
There are many other crafts, too-
The variety is rich its true!
So, hooray for Craftster! Hooray!

Time spent here is never a waste-
Of new crafts you can get a good tatse.
And as for making new friends,
Oh, the fun never ends!
So stay and visit once in a while
For youre sure to leave with a smile!
So, hooray for Craftster! Hooray!

Yes, it's a bit awkward with the meter and rhyme scheme, but it's early and I haven't had any coffee yet! And I tried to include every craft, but I just couldn't manage it (so don't be offended- you are there in spirit!). Wink

The choices you make today determine the choices you will have tomorrow.

I can't even try to remember how I came across this place, but I'd say that it has not only changed the way I do crafts, but how I look at things.  I don't shop as much, don't buy as much "junk," as I once did.  When I see something in a store that "I can't live without," I find myself saying "There's got to be someone out there who has made this," and I usually find that person on Craftster.

Leah & the Mod.'s- your $5/mo. investment is probably one of the most innovate ideas I've heard of...right behind the internet and sliced bread (but I'd rather eat handmade bread anyway...and probably find the recipe on Craftster).  I hope that we all keep happy-dancing and using Craftster for years to come.  Could you imagine this place in ten years?  Shocked Smiley

This is fabulous news!  Congratulations to us all and HUGE thanks to Leah and the mods.  This is by far the bestest forum I have come across online, and I'm so glad that I did.  I don't remember where or how we met, but I looked across a crowded desk at the glowing screen and knew it was love at first site (that's site on purpose Wink).

May Craftster continue to bring us all (and especially you, Leah!) new ideas and inspiration and the greatest sense of community a person could wish for.

That doesn't nearly express how much I want to thank all the mods and everyone who make Craftster such an awesome place.  We rock! Grin
