So here is my first patchwork quilt. It's been finished for a few months but I've finally got around to posting it.

It is *gets tape measure out*.. longer than my tape measure... 174cm by 95cm. I used squares that I bought from eBay (it's not cheating - it helps maintain your sanity) plus it meant I could use loads of different material. The story behind the red edging is that I bought 2 metres of the material with my birthday money and it was so expensive (in student terms) that I didn't want to waste a morsel.

Anyways I hope you like it. Patchwork quilts are so fun - if you haven't made one already have a go! Oh, and I machine sewed the whole thing - apart from the last edge which I had to do by hand.

Any comments will be gladly received!

It's lovely! Good job on your first quilt!!  Is it tied, or quilted?  I do like patchwork quilts, so much fun to use so many different fabrics.
