I have finally had time to try my second kit, the Kool aid kit from Lizzle Cheesy

I can't do as I'm told, so instead of hand painting yarn I made a self striping.
The result:

You can read more about it here.

Now I only need to try the easter egg dyes, and this time I'll try hand painting yarn with them Wink

Thanks yet again for a great kit! Cheesy

Will swap for a DIY handmade paper kit!

Oooh...pretty.  Makes me want to pull out the kool-aid and the icing dye.  Now...I think I came across a few ounces of undyed wool the other day...

Very nice yarn.  Grin

Instead of making handbags for a craft fair next weekend, I decided that I needed to finally play with my kits. First up- DIY Lunchbag! I modified the directions a bit, because I wanted to line it with some fused plastic bags. And then I attempted to add a gusset at the bottom. But, because I added the lining, I didn't think it would work well with a drawstring, so I made some braided handles out of some cotton cording I had lying around, and added a velcro closure. I think it came out good enough to give as a gift to my sister-in-law for her birthday next month!

And, since I still don't feel like sewing any handbags, I think I'll go and make some soap!

The choices you make today determine the choices you will have tomorrow.

Sheesh, that sure took me a long time.. but now there's photos of what I received!

A cute chibi kit from danger0usangel03

And a felt book page kit from uradelight

The pic doesn't show it but there's all sorts of colors of both embroidery floss and felt in the book page kit! (there's floss hidden behind the ones that show on the pic)
And look at the dragon on the felt baggie that holds the felt.. isn't it gorgeous?
