this is my first quilt ever... i made it for a sewing class in school and i think it turned out pretty nice! it was supposed to be a baby quilt (about 3 feet by 3.5 feet or so) but the colors i picked weren't exactly what you'd call "baby" colors. luckily, it didn't clash when it was done!


block detail (12 blocks in all)

back and front together

back detail (sorry it's blurry)... the fabric was called "mermaids" and it looks like a bunch of colorful fish scales

It looks great, I love the colours and the backing fabric is perfect!

How did you get it to line up so neatly? You must have a knack for it.

it actually only looks straight lol... but i guess cuz the pieces were small it's less noticeable. trust me, no knack involved.

That's a first quilt???  It looks great!  Good job.  I think the colors work just fine for a baby, but of course, you could always keep it for yourself Wink
